How two accessories can make your outfit
I had a vision.
I woke up one spring morning and realized that my closet would be about 1000 times better with just two accessories: a white jacket and a pair of comfortable, cute espadrilles. First, who doesn't need a white jacket? It goes with everything! But...it had to be the right white jacket. I didn't want a blazer - I wanted something that, even when left open, nipped in at the waist. I wanted something stretchy and comfortable to throw over a few dresses but didn't all of a sudden make me feel like I was in an office.
And the espadrilles? Well, you could probably have guessed I was looking for something navy and white and nautical. I mean, if there's a color scheme that describes me to a T, it would be that one.
So I set off an a mission. I went to Belk, TJ Maxx, Banana Republic, and scoured Amazon too.
And I found exactly what I was looking for. And for a great price too!
This jacket I found on Amazon, and I'm obsessed with it. It's got a lot of stretch, but the fabric feels durable. It sits on top of dresses in a really flattering way, and I can't wait to try it over a blouse and pair of jeans. And it's so affordable!
And the shoes? I found these at TJ Maxx in store, but it doesn't seem like they're selling them online. Check out your local retailer, or buy them from Famous Footwear! They're true to size, maybe a little roomy, but Oh. My. Gosh. They are SO comfortable! It's like walking on a cloud. A pair of navy and white espadrilles can almost act like a neutral, surprisingly, or they can jazz up a boring outfit. But think of this: a pair of jeans, a white T-shirt, and these shoes? I mean, that's what I call classic!
The dress is from Calvin Klein and is a few seasons old, but I just love the color scheme and the handkerchief hemline. A dress like this can skew more mature, but with the jacket and the shoes, it updates the look. As for the earrings, I really felt like diving into this color scheme, so I found a pair to bring out the white in the dress, jacket, and shoes. Any white earrings can accomplish that, so I left one suggestion down below.
