My winter fashion secret weapon

Do you have a fall coat that you wish you could wear during the coldest days of the year? I know that I do. 

I hate putting on puffer jackets for the same reason that I love it: they're warm, cozy, and make me feel like a marshmallow. I used to wonder how all of these starlets and models could walk around New York on a freezing day in a coat that wasn't entirely insulated. 

And then I figured it out. 

I found my winter secret weapon, and it's the most amazing jacket ever. You would never even know it's there - it provides you warmth without any of the bulk and layers perfectly with your favorite fall coats! Here's the crazy story: I purchased the UNIQLO Women's Ultra Light Down Puffer Jacket in an airport. I was waiting for a flight and I read on my phone that the weather was going to be colder than expected. Looking around me, I saw one of those UNIQLO vending machines and made a spur of the moment decision: buy the jacket and risk it. 

Oh my gosh, was it worth it! On a spring night it keeps me warm; in the winter it hides underneath my fall coats and no one is any the wiser. It's also extremely packable because it rolls up into a little ball that fits wherever you want to put it. Now, I don't have to wear a big puffer jacket on a freezing day! 

Unless I want to look like a marshmallow.
